CYMATICS — SOUND MADE VISIBLE

VISUAL STYLE: Cymatics — the visualisation of sound as physical pattern. Vibrating surfaces covered in sand or fluid, revealing the geometry hidden inside sound waves. Concentric rings, standing wave patterns, radial symmetry emerging from pure frequency. Science as the most beautiful thing in the world.

COLOUR PALETTE: Deep black ground. Fine white or sand-coloured particles forming the patterns — bright against the dark. Single accent colour per scene — electric teal, or warm gold, or deep violet — used for fluid cymatics effects. The palette of a darkroom and a physics lab simultaneously.

PATTERNS: Chladni figures — geometric standing wave patterns that emerge when a surface vibrates at specific frequencies. Concentric rings for low frequencies. Complex radial geometries for higher ones. Each frequency has its own signature shape.

TEXTURE: Fine grain visible throughout — sand particles, fluid droplets, salt crystals. The medium has physical presence. You can feel the vibration that created these patterns.

TRANSITIONS: One frequency dissolves into another — the pattern breaks apart and reforms into the next geometry. The transition IS the animation.
