MANDELBULB — 3D FRACTAL UNIVERSE

MANDELBULB — 3D FRACTAL UNIVERSE

MANDELBULB — 3D FRACTAL UNIVERSE

VISUAL STYLE: The Mandelbulb — the three-dimensional extension of the Mandelbrot set — rendered as a luminous sculptural object. A mathematical universe of infinite complexity, where zooming in at any scale reveals the same self-similar structure. The most complex object in mathematics given volume, depth, and light.

COLOUR PALETTE: Deep black of mathematical space as the ground. The Mandelbulb surface lit with dramatic directional lighting that reveals its extraordinary topology. Colour encodes iteration depth — how long each surface point takes to escape to infinity. Points that escape quickly in vivid electric blue; slower escapees through cyan and green; the slowest in warm amber and gold; the boundary itself — the true set — in hot white. Interior shadows in deep teal. The palette has the luminosity of a self-illuminating object, not a lit sculpture.

THE FORM: The Mandelbulb is a bulbous, organic-looking mathematical object covered in smaller bulbs, each covered in even smaller bulbs, recursively to infinite depth. At the macro scale it resembles a dark planet covered in tentacular protrusions. At each zoom level, new structures emerge — valleys, ridges, spirals, tendrils — each a variation on the whole.

SURFACE DETAIL: The surface texture is fractal — rough at every scale. What appears smooth from a distance reveals complexity when approached. The terminator between lit and shadowed regions shows extraordinary detail — mountains of mathematical complexity catching the light.

ZOOMING: The camera approaches the surface — a flat area that appeared smooth reveals ridges; the ridges reveal sub-ridges; the sub-ridges reveal structures as complex as the whole. The zoom is infinite. Every scale has the same density of detail.

MOVEMENT: The light source moves slowly, revealing new surface topology as shadows shift. The camera orbits and approaches.

No photographs. No physical objects. No real people. Pure mathematical surface, pure fractal dimension, pure 3D Mandelbrot set throughout.
