SAUL BASS — MID CENTURY TITLE SEQUENCE

SAUL BASS — MID CENTURY TITLE SEQUENCE

Copy the video prompt below

SAUL BASS — MID CENTURY TITLE SEQUENCE

VISUAL STYLE: Saul Bass mid-century graphic design. Bold, flat, geometric. The aesthetic of 1950s and 1960s film title sequences — Vertigo, Anatomy of a Murder, The Man with the Golden Arm. Graphic design as pure communication.

COLOUR PALETTE: Two or three colours maximum per scene. Deep black as the primary ground. One bold accent — cardinal red, burnt orange, or cobalt blue. White for typography and negative space. Never more than three colours at once.

SHAPES: Simple geometric forms — circles, rectangles, triangles, diagonal lines. Shapes slide, drop, spin, and lock into position with mechanical precision. Negative space is as important as positive form.

FIGURES: Flat silhouettes only. No detail. A circle on a rectangle is a person. A triangle is motion. The minimum required to communicate the maximum meaning.

TYPOGRAPHY: Bold mid-century sans-serif. All caps. Wide tracking. Text appears as part of the composition — not overlaid on it. Letters are graphic elements, not just words.

ANIMATION: Deliberate mechanical movement. Shapes arrive from off-screen. Lock into position. Hold. Then the next element enters. Jazz rhythm in the timing.

No photographs. No gradients. No illustration detail. Pure flat graphic design throughout.
