ZINE — RISOGRAPH PRINT
VISUAL STYLE: Risograph print and zine aesthetic. Two or three colour spot printing — ink layers that don't quite align, creating deliberate misregistration. The texture of a photocopier. The energy of independent publishing.
COLOUR PALETTE: Two colours maximum — chosen from Risograph ink colours: fluorescent pink and teal, or bright red and navy, or forest green and yellow. Where the two colours overlap, they create a third blended tone. Cream or off-white uncoated paper as the base — the paper colour shows through.
TEXTURE: Grain and noise throughout. Ink coverage is slightly uneven. Halftone dot patterns for midtones. Visible paper texture under all colour.
MISREGISTRATION: The two colour layers are intentionally slightly offset. This is not an error. This is the aesthetic.
ILLUSTRATION: Bold, graphic, slightly rough. Influences from 1990s zine culture, punk graphics, and independent comics.
ENERGY: Lo-fi, independent, urgent. This feels made by a person, not a corporation.
No photographs. No smooth gradients. No digital polish. The beauty is in the imperfection of print.
