ConvX Privacy Policy

What ConvX does

ConvX is a Chrome extension. It gives your AI voice conversation an animated face. The face can sit in a Chrome side panel or on the page you are working on. From there you can start the conversation, hand it the page you are reading, put it on a call and record it.

What we collect

Nothing. ConvX has no server. It sends no data to Plus Your Business. We cannot see your conversations, your pages, your voice or your recordings. Where ConvX sends anything to another service, it is because you pressed a button, and it goes to your own account on that service. Those cases are listed below.

The assistant's voice

ConvX runs a small script in your assistant's tab on claude.ai. If you add them, it also runs on chatgpt.com and grok.com. The script measures the loudness of the audio the page plays and turns it into numbers that move the face. The tab keeps playing out loud as normal. The numbers stay in your browser.

Your microphone

A seat's face can use your microphone so it moves while you speak. When you give the floor to more than one seat, ConvX passes your microphone to each assistant's tab. It uses its own audio route inside your browser to do this. The route connects tabs on your computer and nothing leaves your machine. Each assistant receives your voice exactly as it would if you spoke into its tab directly, under that assistant's own terms.

Feed this page

When you press Feed, use its shortcut, or pick the right-click item, ConvX reads the page you are on. It reads your selection, the HubSpot Breeze answer, or the page text. For Google Docs, Sheets and Slides it uses Google's export of the document. ConvX pastes that text into your own Claude conversation on claude.ai. From there it goes to Anthropic under your Claude account and Anthropic's terms. ConvX reads a page only when you press Feed.

The face on the page

When you press Switch, ConvX asks Chrome once for permission to run on every site. It uses that permission to draw the face in the corner of the page you are on. The script that draws the face reads nothing from the page.

Recording

Recording happens only when you press Record. There are two kinds.

• Stage recording combines the faces, the conversation's audio, your microphone and, if you allow it, your camera into a video.
• Screen recording records a window or screen that you choose in Chrome's own picker. You can crop it to an area you drag, and lay the faces and your camera over it.

Either way the video is saved to your Downloads folder, sometimes with a small data file that describes the faces' movement. Chrome shows that a recording is in progress for as long as it runs.

Sharing a recording through Google Drive

This is optional and off until you press Connect Google Drive. You then sign in with the Google account you choose, and Google asks you to allow ConvX to create files in your Drive. ConvX asks only for Google's narrowest Drive permission (drive.file). With it, ConvX can see only the files it created and nothing else in your Drive.

Once connected, a recording you make is uploaded to a folder called "ConvX recordings" in your own Drive. It is set to "anyone with the link can view", and the link is copied for you. The upload goes directly from your browser to Google. Plus Your Business never receives the file, the link or your Google sign-in. The short-lived access token Google issues is kept in Chrome on your computer. You can remove ConvX's access at any time in your Google account settings, under third-party connections.

ConvX's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Settings and access codes

Your settings are stored in Chrome on your computer. Examples are which seats are shown, their sizes and your frame colour. If you enter a beta access code, ConvX stores it in Chrome's sync storage. That lets the code follow you to other computers signed in to the same Chrome profile. Google handles that sync under your Google account. We do not receive the code or know who entered it.

Diagnostics

ConvX keeps a short log on your computer of the last forty actions the toolbar button and the sidebar took, with times. It helps when a fault needs reading back. The log is never sent anywhere, and you can clear it from the page that shows it.

Third parties

ConvX works alongside services you already use: Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Grok (xAI), HubSpot and Google. What you say or send to those services is covered by their own privacy policies. ConvX does not sell data, share it with anyone, or use it for advertising.

Changes

If ConvX's handling of data changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
